Senior Care
We understand that today’s seniors along with their families demand to have choices. They are not satisfied with one size fits all. Most seniors along with their families and loved ones reject the notion of facility care, particularly when safely receiving care in their homes is possible. Therefore, providing you with services in your home to meet your particular needs is our primary concern. We provide personal care and companion services to seniors and disabled, or recuperating individuals, so they may remain living safely in their home for as long as possible.
It’s often difficult to make that first call if you are a primary caregiver, and you’re wondering where to turn for help. In transitional issues such as those brought about by unexpected illness or loss, or for example from geographic moves, or from placement or hospital discharge uncertainty, we’re here to help.
We are familiar with providing caregiver respite relief under all of these circumstances. Start by calling us today. We will begin by reviewing and evaluating the functional needs of the person needing assistance, and your needs for support if you are the primary caregiver. We are here to help you reach your goals and succeed through a transitional time or for the longer term.
According to the National Family Caregivers Association, more than 50 million individuals in the US and Canada who care for a disabled or chronically ill, or aged loved one. How are you doing? Caregivers are better able to provide and coordinate care for a loved one if they care for themselves too. Most of us are familiar with the instruction given by the airline attendant: “Put on your own oxygen mask first before helping others”. This is something one hears each time a flight is taken. Likewise, this concept should be applied when taking care of a family member or other loved one. If we take proper care of ourselves, caregiving of another becomes all the more effective. Stress, depression and fatigue are very real side effects of family caregiving.
